Our workmanship warranty

We warrant the labour on installations and repairs we perform for 12 months from the date of the invoice. If hardware we fitted fails because of the way we fitted it, we return and correct it at no charge for labour or callout.

Hardware warranty

Locks, cylinders, closers, safes and other hardware carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which varies by product and brand. We tell you the warranty period before you approve the quote, and it is recorded on your invoice. Where a manufacturer warranty applies, we manage the claim on your behalf rather than sending you to the supplier.

What the warranty covers

• Hardware coming loose, binding or misaligning due to our installation
• Rekeying or repinning work that does not operate correctly
• Incorrectly cut keys supplied by us
• Manufacturing defects in hardware we supplied, within the manufacturer's period

What it does not cover

• Damage from forced entry, vandalism, storm or accident
• Misuse, or forcing a lock with the wrong key
• Work later altered or adjusted by someone else
• Normal wear on moving parts and consumables such as batteries
• Door or frame movement caused by structural settlement, moisture or timber swelling that we did not cause
• Hardware supplied by you rather than by us, except where we caused the fault

Making a claim

2. Describe the fault and send a photo if you can
3. We book an assessment, normally within 2 business days for non-urgent claims
4. If the fault is covered, we rectify it at no cost. If it isn't, we quote the repair before doing anything
